Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Orientation

Midday: Arrive at the designated Game Reserve within Kwa-Zulu Natal.

Afternoon: Welcome lunch followed by an orientation session with host conservationists.

Evening: Sunset game drive featuring sundowners in the bush.

Dinner: Group dinner, introducing the conservation mission and retreat objectives.

Day 2: Rhino Dehorning Operation

Early Morning: Briefing on the day’s dehorning activities, safety protocols, and roles.

Morning: Participate in the rhino dehorning process, which includes:
• Tracking and darting the rhino
• Assisting veterinarians with monitoring vital signs, collecting DNA samples, and horn removal
• Learning about the ethical considerations and conservation impact of dehorning

Afternoon: Return to the lodge for a debriefing session and relaxation.

Evening: Optional team-building activities or leisure time.

Dinner: Chef-prepared dinner featuring local cuisine.

Day 3: Conservation Activities & Departure

Morning: Choose between Safari walk or Game drive

Late Morning: Brunch and Thank you’s

Midday: Check-out and departure

Based in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa, the majority of our work takes place in this region. Our focus as the name suggests is towards Parks and Wildlife Zululand however upon invitation by other organisations and reserves we will assist on projects nationally.
